Stop and Breathe |

3D Artist / Level Designer / Game Design / Team Manager

Stop and Breathe is an International Award winning student project, achieving first place in the student category for 2024's Games for Change Awards in New York City. Stop and Breathe is a puzzle platformer, created and designed for my capstone project at Sheridan College, focusing on a deep message to teach a younger audience how to breathe to combat anxiety. Through this project, I took a managerial role to collaborate and organize my team. I created most of the environment assets and modular pieces, created a hand full of levels, and helped create the overall game play loop and puzzle mechanics. Stop and Breathe had 8 months of development time which allowed me to display
my skills and learn some
new ones in the process.

Home Bound: Portal 2 |

Level Designer / Solo Project

Home Bound is a Portal 2 Level created using BeeMod2 and Hammer++.
​Home Bound teaches new players the basics of using a Portal Gun, Repulsion Gel, Storage Cubes, and a new puzzle element, Solid Fizzlers.
​The level teaches, tests, and challenges players on the new-found mechanic throughout solving the puzzles and escaping.
I used several Level Design Principles to create the level. The most prevalent tools used were leading lines and signage/signifiers to direct players to different areas and for different pieces of the puzzles.

The Library |

3D Environment Art / Level Design / Collaborative Project

This Library scene was created using Unreal Engine 5 and it's new Lumen lighting system.
Three friends and I worked on the general layout of the scene by referencing old style libraries from the 1800s.
My roles were to create general assets to fill the scene with another person, while the other two created modular assets of the building. I used reference photos from old style libraries and created a mood board to understand how people would use our library in the modern day.

Fishy Business |

3D Artist / Game Designer / Team Manager

The Fishy-Business Corporation is a clicker/idle game that teaches players about sustainable resources like lab grown/cell-based fish/meats, and environmental protection. The project displays my team leadership skills, planning, game design, 3D modelling, etc.

This is a simple game made over the course of a few weeks worth of time with 3 other designers and programmers.

Which Bar |

3D Artist / Solo Project

For this Project, I set out with the idea of creating a witch themed café/bar.
​
I wanted to see how well I could make a small scene within a few weeks of spare time.
​
The main areas I focused on was creating detailed models that could display the theme I had chosen and to tell a story with the objects in the scene.

Sprout Path |

2D Pixel Artist / Collaborative Project

Sprout Path was the resulting game from a 4 day long game jam with 4 random game developers put into a team. ​The game jams theme was to create a game based around a selected word from a list to base the game off of. ​My team and I decided to choose the word "collecting" as a design challenge for our game, creating a garden for player to collect seed and plant different flowers. 

Mac-10 work bench |

3D Artist / Unreal Engine / Texture Work / Blueprints / Solo Project

This gun model and Unreal Engine scene was a way of learning and practicing my skills in high detail modeling, scene setting, and Unreal Engine Blue Print scripting. 
 
I chose a Mac-10 as it was the first time I tried to 3D model a gun, as the Mac-10 has a somewhat simplistic box like shape.

Walkie-Talkie |

Texture Work / Substance Painter / Solo Project

This project was all about creating textures for a simple walkie-talkie. I created 3 different variation based on different themes from other game franchises, such as Portal 2 and League of Legends.
 
The textures were all made within Adobe Substance Painter, using different
techniques learned from previous project.

Frontier |

Level Designer / Unreal Tournament / Solo Project

Frontier is a capture the flag map designed for 3v3 combat in Unreal Tournament. ​The map was designed as a space station, prioritized in storing and harvesting crops for the population of Earth​The map offers several lanes of play, including different elevations, for players to explore. 

LD Playground|

Level Desing / Substance Painter / Solo Project

This level was built using an asset/game unity package from a user on Itch.io (bottom of page).
 
The level goes through 4 different sections, each using the various mechanics from the package.
 
This platformer game is a great example of 2D level design through the level design principles of teach/test/challenge.
